FROM THE MANAGER

Greetings all,

We are finally seeing better weather and warmer temperatures. I honestly had to remind myself I was living in Texas a few times. I am happy to trade a few days of winter for the abundance of beautiful weather we typically have. I feel truly lucky and blessed to be living in Texas!

So far March has been a great month here at GTU Jet. We’ve been able to visit with many of our current tenants and have been able to add a few new members to the GTU Jet family. Its always a pleasure to meet new and old friends alike.

Your GTU Jet team has been hard at work ensuring all the maintenance and quality control measures have been getting done to ensure you are getting the best and safest service possible. I am truly honored to be a small part of that team. Your safety is always our number one concern. Nothing is a higher priority.

The car and plane show that was held in early March was a great success. They raised a considerable amount of money for the Epilepsy Foundation. What a wonderful time to get to meet so many people and see the community come together for such a great cause.

As always, it's our honor and privilege to serve to. Without you, we wouldn’t be here.

Sincerely,

Brad Lamb

General Manager

KGTU RSAT MEETING APRIL 8

Georgetown Airport Users,

Runway incursions remain a serious concern nationally. One important component of our ongoing efforts to improve surface safety at Georgetown Airport involves conducting a Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at least once each year. In Conjunction with Airport Management, we will be conducting a local RSAT meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 12:00pm via Zoom:

Link: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/137332765

Dial In: +1 (571) 317-3122

Access Code: 137-332-765

The purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals and organizations that are actively involved in air traffic operations and movement of aircraft, vehicles and equipment on the Airport Surface Area. We look for participation from all major airport interests including tenants, fixed base operators, flight schools, airport operations and maintenance personnel. Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety. Those recommendations serve as the foundation for a site-specific Runway Safety Action Plan. You are cordially invited to join us.

Your participation is important and your input is welcomed.

If you have questions or need more information, please let me know. I can be reached at 512-868-3580.

Sincerely,

Shannon Thomas

Air Traffic Manager, GTU ATCT
