May/June 2020 Newsletter
FROM THE MANAGER
I wanted to start this newsletter by saying thank you to all the wonderful tenants and customers that continue to visit and support GTU jet through this difficult time. We greatly appreciate you allowing us to serve you and for trusting us with your safety and well-being. You are now, and have always been, our number one priority.
Our staff has been busy cleaning and maintaining the facility to ensure we are ready when you are. We take great pride in providing you the best experience possible. Our number one goal is to exceed all your expectations at GTU Jet.
The City terminal is opening to a 25% occupancy rate. I have been told the taxiway lights are operational, however they are currently being controlled via photocell until the remote-control box is installed. No word when the remaining taxiway lights will be installed. Georgetown airport remains one of the busiest airports of the surrounding airports and flight schools are going strong with little to no change in operations.
We have a new glass mini refrigerator in the lobby, stocked with cold bottled water for your convenience. We have also moved the fresh baked cookies to the lobby for your convenience and enjoyment.
As you return to flying, please take a little time to refresh yourself with all the tasks involved in operating your aircraft and maneuvering skills. Don't forget to take a little extra time with pre-flight. We all know how it was good the last time you used it, then somehow, something breaks, or burns out, or just does not work the same. Be safe, you and your family are worth it.
As always, we thank you for allowing us the honor of serving you!
