FROM THE MANAGER
Well it's a new year with endless possibilities and we are looking forward to a banner year. I want to thank all of you for supporting us and an allowing us the honor of serving you. The team at GTU Jet is driven and dedicated to providing you the highest standard of service. We always train, learn, research and acquire the latest best practices to provide you the safest and most efficient service possible.
We have some wonderful upcoming events at the airport. As you will find in this newsletter, Stephanie Nichols' 9th Annual Car & Vintage Plane Show is happening on February 29. New this year is a parachute team, parachuting in at the begging of the show with the US flag while the national anthem is being played - should be spectacular. Also new this year with be a fully restored B-17 Flying Fortress and a P-51 Mustang. The Devil Dog B-25 will also be in attendance, looking better than ever!
We are also proud to be supporting TANGO Flight aviation program. They will be hosting their fundraiser called WINGDING on Friday, April 4th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. I will have more on that in the next newsletter as it gets closer.
Taxiway lighting construction is underway and appears to be going well. Several NOTAMs are being activated and/or changed often. Please be sure to check often so you are aware of any changes.
As always, thank you for allowing us the honor of serving you.

GTU RUNWAY SAFETY ACTION TEAM MEETING
From the Air Traffic Controllers at Georgetown Municipal Airport:
Runway incursions remain a serious concern nationally. One important component of KGTU's ongoing efforts to improve surface safety at GTU Airport involves conducting a Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at least once each year. In conjunction with airport management, the RSAT will be holding a meeting on December 18, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the terminal conference room.
The purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals and organizations that are actively involved in air traffic operations and movement of aircraft, vehicles and equipment on the Airport Operations Area (AOA). Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety. Those recommendations serve as the foundation for a site-specific Runway Safety Action Plan.
Please RSVP to email@example.com. Include the name, organization (if applicable), phone number and email address of those who will be attending.
If you have questions or need more information, please contact David Storey at (512) 868-3580.
