August/September 2019 Newsletter

September 30, 2019

 FROM THE MANAGER

Greetings All,

In case you haven't noticed, we are sending out a newsletter every other month. So, you didn't miss one in August - we skipped it!

I spoke with the Airport Manager, Joseph Carney, about the taxiway lighting installation. He advised that the project is out for bid and hopes to have construction started by the end of October. The overall construction time should be between 40-90 days. The plan is to conduct most of the runway closures between 10 P.M. and 6 A.M. if possible. There is a chance both runways will be shut down due to construction at the runway intersection, but we will do our best to keep you advised as the project proceeds.

We have added a few new staff members to our family. Leasa Riley - CSR, Christopher Peters - Line Service Technician, and Bradley Fought- Line Service Technician. We welcome them to the family and are excited by all the expertise they bring. We will highlight them in future newsletters, but stop by and say howdy when you can.

I want to say again how much your presence is needed at the City's Transportation Advisory Board (GTAB) meetings the second Friday of each month. We need all the support we can get. Our voices, as a general aviation community, need to be heard. It's your airport. Protect it for today and for the future!

As always, we thank you for the honor of allowing us to serve you!

Sincerely,

Brad Lamb
General Manager

 MEET BRADLEY

Bradley Bohls started at GTU Jet in March as our Lead Maintenance Technician.  Bradley has brought a wealth of knowledge to our team as he has been in construction and maintenance his entire career.

Bradley's favorite part of working at GTU Jet is the people and the variety of work that keeps him busy.

When not at GTU Jet, Bradley cares for his 95 year old father who is WW2 Air Force Veteran and tries to keep up with his "honey-do-list" from his wife. Fun fact: Bradley learned how to fly at KGTU back in 1995!

Welcome Bradley! Thanks for all you do!
