April 2019 Newsletter
FROM THE MANAGER
This month's newsletter is all about the runway rehabilitation and the new FBO management software we are implementing. The runway rehabilitation is continuing on schedule. I attended the progress meeting Friday April 4. On April 19, Runway 11-29 reopened with Runway 18-36 remaining closed until May 15. In an article below is the timeline of the remaining projects. Stay tuned!
We are in the initial phases of implementing a new software program at GTU Jet. The software program is FlightBridge. Some of you may already be familiar with the software as it is widely used throughout the industry. The software will help with efficiency and thoroughness in all aspects of the FBO and Customer Service. We have included a link to FlightBridge (see article below) for you to get a good look at the program.
What this means for you is a more streamlined process. You now have the option to call as you always have for services and reservations or you can make a reservation and receive a confirmation online. The program also allows our CSR's to provide a multitude of options and services to you at the click of a button. It tracks and updates your aircraft and selected services within the system so that nothing "falls through the cracks." At a glance, the line service technicians will know what aircraft need to be on line, what services need to be performed, what aircraft are arriving, and which are departing. All of these functions are designed to give you the best possible service whenever you visit GTU Jet.
If you prefer to continue calling in your reservation requests, we will happily accommodate you. Even requests taken via phone will receive a detailed email confirmation. Our goal is never to simply meet your expectations, we want to exceed them!
As always, we thank you for the honor of serving you!

FLIGHTBRIDGE TRAVEL MANAGEMENT
As mentioned in Brad's article above, we have recently enhanced our customer services with the addition of the FlightBridge.
If you are not familiar with FlightBridge, it is a platform that allows our customers to inform us of arrival or departure times, request services, reserve rental cars, make hotel reservations, and pay tenant rent.

KGTU RUNWAY REHABILITATION PROJECT
As of April 19, Runway 11/29 is operational. Runway 18/36 will remain closed for additional work.
Below is the proposed timeline of completion for the Runway 18/36 Rehabilitation Project:
Runway 18/36 is scheduled to reopen on May 1, with temporary non-reflective pavement markings after which both runways will be operational.
Runway 18/36 and 11/29 will be closed on May 16 to groove the intersection.
Runway 18/36 will be closed May 20-21 for final reflective pavement marking installation. Runway 11/29 will be operational.
Runway 18/36 to reopen on May 22. GTU's Runway 18/36 Rehabilitation Project will then be complete and both runways will be operational.
As always, this schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances. We will keep you posted on any updates as we receive them.
If you have any questions regarding the runway project, please contact Airport Management directly at (512) 930-3666.
