FROM THE MANAGER
It's hard to believe it is already February. January was a busy month for us, especially with the flight schools. We always love seeing the future of aviation honing their skills.
The airport is still on the hunt for an airport manager. We appreciate the city doing its due diligence to find the "right" manager for job.
Hopefully everyone has had a chance to review the construction update material that was sent out (article included below as well). We will do our very best to keep all of you up to date with any changes.
On a sad note, Mr. Jerry Griffin is retiring from the banking/aviation industry after over 40 years of dedicated service. GTU Jet was created by Jerry on behalf of American Bank of Texas (now First United Bank), and thanks to his leadership, our team can continue providing world class service for our customers and tenants. Jerry's unique ability to watch over the business while simultaneously tending to the needs of his employees is a rarity in today's corporate culture. We hate to see him leave, but know it's time for him to go play!

KGTU AIRPORT RUNWAY REHABILITATION PLAN
The planned runway 18-36 rehabilitation project is set to begin this month with Runway 18-36 scheduled to be closed beginning Monday, March 4. Click here for the timeline of construction and a full list of planned closures as provided by the airport engineer.
All dates are subject to change and weather dependent. NOTAMs will be issued for the duration of the project.

STEPHANIE NICHOLS' 8TH ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR AND VINTAGE PLANE SHOW
GTU Jet has shop space available in Building 1 - conveniently located for easy access to the east ramp.
The available 3,960 square foot raw area includes a 392 square foot office with full bathroom.
