 FROM THE MANAGER

Greetings to all,

Another month has flown by, literally. Summer is coming and flying has picked up. One of my favorite sayings is, "If you're always ready, you never have to get ready." For today's purposes I am referring to aircraft and personal safety. With warmer weather comes heat related injuries. These can become life threatening when not properly treated. Please seek proper medical advice and treatment and be prepared when dealing with the heat. Keep supplies on hand to stay hydrated. We always have complimentary water bottles on hand for your flight.

As we all know, warmer weather also brings storms. They build quickly and move in fast. I know everyone checks the weather, but you should also build in diversion plan. With the storms comes the potential for hail. Anyone who has lived in Texas for more than a day knows about the hail possibilities. If you're on the ground visiting for a few days, check the weather forecast and plan for a hangar if you need it. Obviously, hangar space fills fast with the threat of hail. Don't be left out in the elements due to no hangar space availability. We will always try to help you find space during a storm, even if it's with a competitor. Your aircraft is our main concern.

On a different note, I would like to announce a new tenant at GTU Jet. We would like to welcome Utility Aviation Inc., a division of Brunner Aerospace, to the GTU Jet campus. They will be occupying space in Building 1 (our old FBO location). More information in the article below.

As always, we thank you for the honor of allowing us to serve you at GTU Jet.

Sincerely,

Brad Lamb
General Manager
