March 2018 Newsletter

Greetings from GTU Jet!

Wow, it's March already, which means spring is here. As you know, January and February were not great flying weather months. With that said, weather has improved, and everyone is getting back into the spring of things (pun intended). If you haven't flown in a while, take the extra time to perform a detailed preflight. Tires lose pressure, bugs nest in pitot tubes, things just start leaking for no reason. Always make safety the priority.

We also recommend brushing up on marshalling hand signals. We use nationally recognized marshalling hand signals taught by The National Air Transportation Association. We can provide a copy of them to anyone who would like to have them.

As always, I want to say thank you to every one of you for allowing us the honor to serve you. Over the years we have grown into a large family. Our philosophy is we build relationships, not just customers. It is our goal to go beyond your expectations and deliver professional, competent, safe, and courteous service to you and your family. If you're happy, we're happy.

I hope everyone has a great spring, and I look forward to seeing you all enjoying the great state of Texas, flying and having fun.

Rogeria (Ro) Kerbow started at GTU Jet in December as a Customer Service Representative. Prior to joining the GTU Jet team, Ro worked as a dog groomer and stylist in Austin for two years.

Originally from Brazil, Ro followed her heart and came to the US over 17 years ago to be with her now husband. A mother to two kids, Ro enjoys family time and teaching her children that hard work pays off.

When not at GTU Jet, Ro enjoys traveling, kayaking, and meeting new people. She also loves to cook Brazilian Bar-B-Que called Churassco for her family and friends.

Fun Fact: Ro drove for Uber for just over a year - ask about her favorite passengers!

Congratulations to our Line Service Technician, Tom, for receiving our Employee of the Month award.

Congratulations, Tom. Thanks for all you do!

The East Ramp packed with vintage cars and spectators at Stephanie Nichols' Vintage Car and Plane show. Thanks to all who attended.
